DUESENBERG TWENTY GRAND II
Over 10 years in the making..
THE one and only Twenty Grand

THE Legendary original car:

Of all 480 Duesenbergs originally manufactured in the late 20’s and 30’s, arguably the most majestic and desirable is the SJ Arlington Torpedo built in 1933 for the Century of Progress Chicago World’s Fair. It was dubbed the ‘Twenty Grand’ for its selling price during the great depression when a 1500 square foot house sold for $1500.00.  This was only a concept car and never saw production due to the level of craftsmanship and sophistication that drove the price to a level that virtually no one could afford.

It has since been acclaimed numerous times as being historically one of the best automobiles ever designed and will never have an equal.  The original resides in the Nethercutt Collection at San Sylmar, CA and recently won ‘Best of Show’ this past March in Amelia Island.  It also has been offered as a die-cast collectible model from the Franklin Mint, is the on the cover of The Art of the Automobile - The 100 greatest Cars of all Time by Dennis Adler,
is featured on HD Theater's World's Most Expensive Rides episode 9 (sorry, the English version was pulled for copyright purposes) as well as being featured as a vehicle in the video game Mafia Wars II.
