DUESENBERG TWENTY GRAND II
Over 10 years in the making..
 History of OUR car

In 2000, ‘Pete’ Hastert purchased a 1984 second-generation Duesenberg Dual-cowl Phaeton with the intentions of fulfilling his lifelong dream of converting it to a very drivable ‘Twenty Grand’ with all the conveniences associated with the last 50 years of technology.  This involved years of mold-making and fabricating the entire body from scratch from steel and fiberglass.  Unfortunately, Pete never saw the end of his project and it was passed along to his daughter who wished to finalize his dream but was confronted with obstacles too large to overcome.

This year, Larson/Burton, Inc., a small machinery building company in Loves Park, IL, purchased and resumed the project with the intentions of making it a worthy tribute to the awe-inspiring original.
