DUESENBERG TWENTY GRAND II
Over 10 years in the making..
 Our car

THE ONLY second-generation Twenty Grand in existance:
Besides being the only Arlington Torpedo-bodied 2nd-gen Duesy, we've added some unique touches that we think separate ours from the other (46)stock early 80's Duesy's we've seen:

Supercharged 351W Ford motor detailed in chrome and Duesenberg green (Afterall, it is an SJ).  We're pretty proud of our engine compartment so far:

Stainless steel exhaust pipes are truly functional and not simply an ornamental attachment to the frame.  (creative engineering by our stainless welding team)

5-speed manual transmission replaced the automatic for a more realistic (and fun) driving experience

Floor-mounted Exhaust cut-out is functional (why not?)

Correct steering wheel implements hidden turn-signal switches where the headlight and spark-advance switches were originally.

Front turn signals are cleverly hidden behind the horn screens so they are unnoticeable until used.  (Because it is kind of annoying rolling down the window and doing hand signals while steering and shifting and clutching and braking)

Because of our engineering background, a complete (12) page set of electrical schematics is included as well as a part list of all major components.  The car is electrically very simple; only using a standard wiring harness for the chassis and a MSD ignition system for the engine – no factory ‘brain box’.

UltraLeather seats with seat belts are more comfortable and so much easier to maintain than original cloth.

All other features common to the second generation models are retained:  power front disc brakes, power windows, air-conditioning, remote power door locks, stereo radio which is hidden beneath the dash not to deter from the beautiful original burled walnut dashboard look.  Photo soon..

This automobile is absolutely built to be a driver.  That is one of the best features of the second-generation cars – they can be serviced by any qualified dealer or repair shop and the modern drivetrain can be run daily without the worries of hurting 80-year-old components that cannot be repaired or replaced.

Stay tuned for more updated pics in the very near future..
 Just look at this dash:

You can see it is titled as a 1984 Duesenberg SJ.  This clearly differentiates this second generation Duesy from a 'replica'.
